Terms of Service

By accessing or using WarrantiesVault ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

WarrantiesVault is a web application that helps you track product warranties, including manufacturer warranties, retailer coverage, purchased extended warranties, and credit card extended warranty benefits. The Service uses AI (Claude by Anthropic) to extract data from uploaded receipts.

You must sign in with a valid Google account to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.

You may delete your account at any time via Settings → Delete Account. Deletion is permanent and irreversible.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Upload malicious files or attempt to exploit the receipt scanning feature
• Attempt to access another user's data
• Overload the Service with automated requests
• Reverse-engineer or copy the Service for a competing product

Important: The warranty coverage information displayed in WarrantiesVault is for reference and organisational purposes only. It is not legal or financial advice.

Credit card benefit terms change frequently. We cannot guarantee that the benefit information in our database is current or accurate for your specific card and situation. Always verify coverage directly with your card issuer before filing a claim.

We are not liable for any loss arising from reliance on warranty information displayed in the Service.

You own your data. By uploading content (receipt images, device information), you grant us a limited licence to process and store that data solely to provide the Service to you. We do not use your data for any other purpose.

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time with reasonable notice where possible. We are not liable for any downtime or data loss caused by infrastructure failures.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, WarrantiesVault and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including missed warranty claims.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may terminate your account at any time via Settings.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions.

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. Continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated by email.
